Breakfast, Lunch in Mamak

I really dislike TMNet Streamyx. The past few days my Streamyx was cut off because of late payment. I made my payments via credit card two days ago but they still terminated my account due to their system not confirming my payments. I called them up and they say it would be rectified in 48 […]

Heavy Rain-Stuck in Starbucks

I was just leaving Pearl Point shopping complex in Old Klang Road to go home when it suddenly rained heavily. Poor guard had to run out to remove the pole blown over in the middle of the road.

So I turned back to walk around in Pearl Point. They have a Starbucks on the […]

Vacuumed my notebook

Certain keys on my keyboard was getting stuck as there was some dust stuck in between. When that happens I usually blow the keyboard and that usually solves the problem.

Today I took the more active approach - using the house vacuum cleaner to suck up any dirt or dust stuck under the keyboard.

Another WiFi session at the Mamak shop

Perhaps I should not have cursed Streamyx so much. My Streamyx connection went down this afternoon. Calling the TMNet support revealed that my account was temporarily suspended because of outstanding bills.
I have paid about RM 300 on December for outstanding bills so when another RM 300 bill came for February I was sure that was […]

A walk thru Petaling Street

I had to go to Maybank to fix my locked internet banking account.

Great!!  The "home" branch I opened my account is closed and some other shop has taken over the building.
So I tried the nearest Maybank at Jln Hang Lekir near Petaling Street.

Walk past the Indian Temple.
Reached Jln Hang Lekir

Got in […]

Another beautiful Monday

Not having a day job means I can go out today on a Monday to settle my banking chores.
My Maybank2u online banking got locked and I couldn’t fix in over the phone. Apparently I have to go to one of the Maybank branch to get it settled.
Also today is the 25th of the month which […]

Tea Time in Cameron Highlands

Cameron Highlands is famous for it’s tea. Having tea outside the garden was a very pleasant experience.

Tea and lots of donut style pastries

Enjoyable afternoon outdoors with my parents and relatives

Home made donuts. Better than most shops in KL that I know of.

Best of all is the weather. It’s so cool even in […]

No need for pictures as most people know how it is. It was a big difference as soon I touched down Tapah it was HOT!
Anyway I still have my pictures to remind me of cool Cameron Highlands

The price I have to pay

The cost to beat the TwoSuperheroes in traffic is high.

This morning I weighed myself on my aunt’s bathroom scale in Cameron Highlands.
90 KG!!
That’s equivalent to 200lbs!!
I used to weigh 80 Kg only last year.

In the midst of changing WordPress Theme

It’s great timing that I found the announcement of new themes in my WordPress dashboard. I had some problems with my previous theme. This one called PhotoshopFox is exactly what I want.
Simple 2 columns with wide sidebar enough to fit my 336 with ads like Nuffnang and TTZMedia. Even though this theme is simple, the […]

Yes it’s raining finally!

I’ve mentioned that Tanah Rata, Cameron Highlands is colder than usual and I’m glad it just rained. I’m sure tonight will be the coldest ever. Just wish I had a termometer to tell me exactly how cold Why am I so eager to face even colder nights? You see, tonight is the last night […]

Camerons is COLD!

Here’s why these past few days it was extra cold in Cameron Highlands. It’s 10am in the morning. The sun is up and the breeze was blowing hard !
My hands were frozen cold while taking this video. Ran back inside the house to get warm again.

I’m getting used to the cold which is bad news […]

Mc Donalds, Ampang Park - my tuition centre

I remember several years ago during the days of the SARS virus I lost my job as a lecturer but survived by giving Java tuition. There was a huge demand for Java tuition because of the high failure rate in one IT college. The demand was so good that I never even tried to apply […]

Morning breakfast and a look in my Aunt Alice’s garden

Toast bread with butter and strawberry jam

The kids like to eat these marshmallows with hot chocolate

So I have a go and try it too

They melt fast. Taste ok but just a little to sweet for me.

Then I go outside to the garden to take some pics
Don’t know what plant is this ..
This I know.. […]

Getting laid off sucks!

Yeah Valentine is over for us in Malaysia but it’s still on for our friends in America. Apparently Yahoo is not showing much love for their employees even on Valentines day. Microsoft may have offered to buy over Yahoo, but 1,000 employees are facing layoffs just one day before Valentines day.
Major bummer !! I […]

Spaghetti Lunch at Rosette Cafe

Tried the Mushroom Spaghetti from Rosette Cafe for lunch. They served it on an extra heavy plate and I really like that because it is the same type that is used in expensive hotels restaurants. I guess that’s how I can classify the food that I’ve tasted here in Rosette Cafe. Classy hotel style food, […]
