Something different at Mamak stall

Went to ABC Big Town Cafe again to meet a friend and use the WiFi. I’m getting fed up of Roti Canai and Tosai everytime I come here so I tried Roti Bakar (toast) and Telur Setengah Masak (half boiled eggs). Washed it all down with Teh Tarik.
Not bad. At least a change from […]

Revisiting Ikea’s 99 cent breakfast

The twosuperheroes recently went to Ikea and blogged about having curry puffs there. I remembered their super cheap 99 cent breakfast I had there last year. This morning I went there and was pleasantly surprised that the breakfast is still there.

Bruharry Nasi Goreng Pattaya

I really wanted to try out out Yut Kee corner shop at Jln Dang Wangi (opposite Wilayah Kompleks) but as usual it’s packed. Come on, is the food really that good ?
I could wait but since I’m only one person I’d have to share with someone else. Not comfortable with that so I chose Bruharry […]

Roti Nan and Tandoori Chicken @ ABC Big Town Cafe

Back at ABC Mamak shop because my Streamyx is still down. I guess within 24 hours (that’s what TMNet support told me) means I should get back my connection tomorrow before noon.

Ah roti nan. I don’t quite like the Roti Nan today. Tastes too dry..

Chicken looks good

I squeezed out the small […]

Chicken and Pork - Jln Angsoka

Usually when you are in Bukit Bintang area you would think of Jln Alor for food. But a few weeks after a shopping session I ended up at a place other than Jln Alor for food.

A friend of my parents took us to a place in Jln Angsoka near Jln Alor for lunch.

He said […]

Allergic to fish

I noticed this when my cousins said they were "allergic to fish" during dinner time. In actual fact, they were just lazy to peel the fish meat from the bones. I have to admit I am sometimes allergic to fish to. Tonight’s dinner however was simple and home cooked fish and red beans ( […]

Celebratory Lunch at Rosette Cafe

My hometown friend went up to Cameron Highlands for a job interview in one of the 5 star hotels. He got the job and I think he is so lucky to work in the highlands with accomodations provided.

We had lunch. He is having an animated chat with my dad (arms covering face)

Three main […]

Enjoyable afternoon outdoors with my parents and relatives

Last Lunch in Cameron Highlands

This is my last lunch in Cameron Highlands before going back to KL.
3 dishes with rice.
Fried duck. Delicious. Different way of preparing as the sauce is under the duck meat and not poured over it like most restaurants. The skin is still crispy and tasty.

Curry Stingray cooked in claypot. Got the tangy sour and hot […]

The price I have to pay

The cost to beat the TwoSuperheroes in traffic is high.

This morning I weighed myself on my aunt’s bathroom scale in Cameron Highlands.
90 KG!!
That’s equivalent to 200lbs!!
I used to weigh 80 Kg only last year.

Bak Kut Teh

Had nice Bak Kut Teh for dinner. Yes, I’m still in Camerons! One more night

Having soupy dinner such as steam boat and Bak Kut Teh always tastes extra good in the Highlands. I dare say this can even compete with the Klang Bak Kut Teh I had some time back.

Fitting dinner as remembrance […]

Steamboat @ Rosette Cafe

Ok la.. This one I didn’t get a chance to try out the Steamboat but some tourist outside did. I asked them whether I could take a picture of them taking the Rosette’s Herbal and Tom Yam steamboat. I’ve eaten this before but I don’t have a picture of it.

I worked up the courage […]

Heavy Lunch @ Rosette Cafe, Cameron Highlands

This is the reason I’m not feeling cold even after a downpour in Cameron Highlands.

Wat Tan Hor Mee

Mixed White Cabbage Vege with Mushrooms. Simplest dish but like all
vege in Camerons, it is fresh which makes it especially crunchy and
nice.

Ostrich Meat. Very tasty and tender.

Glass noodles. (Tang Hoon in Hokkien)

It’s just nice for 4 persons.. […]
