Celcom slow slow page

I was looking to find more information about Celcom mobile broadband so I went to check them out. However their page took ages to load because of some fancy flash

I wonder why Celcom page is still so pre 2001. Most websites allow viewers to skip their Flash interface because not everybody have fast internet […]

Stressful online payment @ www.tmonline.com.my

If you have been following my blog the last 2 days, I have been blogging from Starbucks and the mamak stall because there’s no Streamyx at home. After I made my payments 3 days ago using credit card, Telekom was nice enough to cut off my line a day after I made payment. After checking […]

WiFi Packet Shaping?

Yesterday was an eye opener for me as I practically wasted the entire day viewing websites at crawling speeds because I turned on my Bit Torrent client - Bit Comet.
This morning I confirmed it again when I turned on Bit Comet all the sites I was browsing “timed out” or loaded very slowly (some sites […]

Broadband is a catalyst to economic growth

Nice to find a supporting article to my anti-sucky broadband post.

Sucky Rubberband Connection

Up and Down with StreamyxStreamyx has been going slo-mo for me these past few days in Cameron Highlands. It’s usually quite ok. This really “potong steam” for me. Notice how we bitch and moan every time the connection degrades? Internet connection is very important to many people.

Internet Connection Contingencies

Yesterday’s internet connection was terribly slow. I’m using Streamyx, what else!! Thinking I could get a slightly better connection, I disconnected from my router and rebooted my notebook . (By the way, reboot time is now […]

Fastest speed ever on Streamyx

Check out my BitComet screenshot.I don’t know about other Streamyx users but 170kB/s is so far the fastest speed I’ve ever got on BitComet. I’m probably getting local peers for the file I’m downloading. Sadly this speed only lasted about 15 minutes before cutting off to 10kB/s. Later it came back on for another 10 […]
