If you have seen my past post, you know I’ve gone ga ga over Entrecard. I’ve been spending hours dropping cards and constantly finding faster ways of doing it.

At first I found Opera quite good in this respect as it was speedy, lightweight and can open many windows at one time.

Today I found that the latest Firefox 3 Beta 5 is even better. It’s superfast, very configurable and does not hang with many simultaneous windows open.

I was powerdropping and I realised I opened more than the 50 windows limit I set for myself.

So it was 65 windows open! Usually Opera would just hang and close if it’s more than 50 windows. What’s great about it is there was no noticeable slow down. I definitely can’t do the same with non-beta FireFox 2.

Just to confirm there was no problem opening that many windows, I closed everything and opened another 70 windows (to complete my 300 drops) to see if there was any slowdown or crash. They all opened without any problems and I clicked on the “drop” link on every one of them before closing them.

FireFox 3 Beta 5 is my new favourite browser to powerdrop. In fact I’ll use it more often now since it’s fast and stable. Only weakness is that it does support all my favourite plugins.

So what’s your maximum windows you can open in FireFox without crashing the browser ?
