Since my dead Canon Pixma 1600 printer is alive again, I’m thinking of getting this CISS thingy for mass printing. CISS is short for Continuous Ink Supply System. Basically CISS has larger than normal tanks of ink feeding directly into your inkjet printer via some plastic tubes. It’s way cheaper than getting refill cartridges.

For an upcoming chess tournament, I would need print a lot of copies of chess games using the inkjet printer for about a week. From my calculations, the CISS is better solution than photostating because I would have to take a cab (from MidValley Cititel) to someplace to do the photostating. The rush of photostating and travel cost is just not worth it.

So far the above CISS is at RM 137 sold at Lelong. I’m sure it’s cheaper in Low Yat. Anybody has experience with the CISS? I just want the printer to print consistently for about a week. If it dies at the end of it, I don’t mind :)
