This is one of the micro pay to click and watch advertisement program that is springing up all over on the net. Just out of curiosity I tried one of them out called 5bux.cn. That’s also the URL but I’m not going to give it any link love for fear that Google may think this is a paid post :) From the Chinese domain .cn, it is probably a China based operation.

Anyway it really pays peanuts with 2 cents per click and view. For the first day I got to watch 19 ads so that’s whopping 38 cents! I had a friend only so I signed him up as my referral and he hit 18 ads. I get 1 cent from every click he makes so in total that 38+18 = 56 cents I’ve got for one day. Ok la can pay for my Teh O Ais. There are other similiar programs but they use AlertPay (a new PayPal clone) so I didn’t want to take the hassle to sign up for yet another payment medium. Let’s see if I can really cash out any money from 5buxs.cn. Apparently they will pay out when your credit reaches USD 5.

The interesting thing about this program is that you can buy those people who signed up without referrals and put them under your account. Payment is USD 5.99 for 10 referrals. I guess that’s how the model will be making money. By getting people to buy referrals. It goes up to USD 80.99 for 100 referrals. I won’t be buying any referrals with my own money though.
