I bought the DVD player I talked about in my past post.

It was just before Chinese New Year and it was on offer in Jaya Jusco. I’m quite happy with it as I can now watch all my AVI/DivX movie on TV. Previously, I could only watch them on the computer.

Also with the USB port you can easily transfer the movie onto thumbdrive and stick into the DVD player to watch.

So far all the DivX movies on my CDs work. Movies played on thumbdrive also worked most of the time but I guess my thumbdrive may be a little slow as some of the movies suffer from timing issues. That problem was remedied by pressing pausing a second or two and resuming play again. Movies played from my iPod which acted as a removable hard disk played smoothly.


It’s almost half the size of my old Sony DVD player.

All in all, not bad for a cheap RM 99 China-made DVD player.

The only short coming is the timing issue with some shows played on thumbdrive but that’s my thumbdrive problem. It’s almost like watching a DVD movie except that DivX movies don’t have subtitles.
