Even with the terrible performance I got for my previous Ebiz1 (RM 199/year) shared hosting account, I’m going to stick with Exabytes. To date I have 3 Ebiz1 and 1 Ebiz Gold(RM 399/year) account with them. Out of this four, only one has given me a bad experience. However after the upgrade from Ebiz1 to Ebiz Gold, it looks like the problems have gone away. I now have 2 EBiz1 and 2 Ebiz Gold accounts.

Fantastic Support
One reason I like Exabytes is that their support is 99% of the time fantastic. They respond to you almost immediately except for weekends where response is slower.

Don’t want to experiment
Another reason I don’t want to switch any of my existing websites to new webservers is the fear of change. I don’t want to go thru the hassle and headaches of trouble shooting potential website problems on a new host. I experienced terrible support from a US based webhosting company when I helped my friend transfer his website to another host. Apparently they charged USD 30 just to make the transfer possible. What’s worse is that you have to wait another 30 days before transfer is confirmed. Not to mention a host of other bad experience from that company. I may try out new webhosting services for my new blogs later though.

VPS/Semi Dedicated
Of course, things may change if traffic pushes past the CPU load limit. But that’s a long way off (I hope) and if that happens, I guess I have to look at VPS(Virtual Private Server) webhosting which superbloggers like 5xmom is using. Even before that happens, I’m sure I can analyze and tweak Wordpress PHP scripts to be more efficient or turn off irrelevant plugins.
