Lelong! Lelong! I want an iPhone!
I checked out our local eBay clone, Lelong.com.my and found that there are people selling the iPhone here already. Well they have been selling it for quite some time already but previously the prices were close to RM 3000.
Today’s lowest price for the iPhone is RM 2080. Scratch that. I just saw another for RM 1,699.(take note it’s being sold by a 17 year old kid promising to buy it for you when he comes back from the US for holidays - he wants a RM 1400 deposit first).
Of course reliability will be an issue as I don’t think this iPhone sets come with warranty. Anyway the RM2080 one has a shop so you can drop in and test it yourself. I think I’d trust that more than the 17 year old kid. Then again you have to be extra cautious buying things from Lelong!
I wouldn’t mind getting one of these sets if :-
- They can be unlocked to use DiGi Edge
- I can get enough money before Christmas to get one
Still I don’t see any bids in Lelong for any one of the iPhones being offered. Doesn’t anyone wants to buy the iPhone? Or do they know something that I don’t ..

Ishhhh…. i hate getting fingerprints all over the screen. My friend won an iPhone and it’s “LOCKED”, hahaha. Gotta find someone to unlock it for her now. Yes, all the way from USA. IMHO, it’s a practically useless object of desire sans 3G

Unlocking is said to be very easy nowadays. So she wants to sell or not

No 3G.
Overrated.

Here’s another reference for you. It’s selling about $SGD800 in Singapore, 8GB unlocked version. The official iPhone just reach France not long ago, I don’t see it coming to Asia so soon. 3G ornot, its not really matter because when the time it reaches Asia with 3G, phones with Android should probably be out.

Jason: I don’t mind EDGE connection.
Hong Kiat: That’s about 1,861.71 MYR. Pretty cheap. So are you selling in Singapore only or do you sell it to Malaysians too ?
