Help, I’m stumbling!!
Sorry for the lame title but I was just surprised by traffic that I got from Stumble Upon. I know I’ve heard stories of people getting a spike in traffic after being “stumbled upon”. It’s such a foreign term for me because I’ve never received any benefits from Stumble Upon until now. I decided to describe my FREE chess publishing tool for bloggers on Stumble Upon this morning. By afternoon I was surprised by the influx of new visitors.
That blog has such a low traffic that the average visitors per day is only 10-20. Now it is almost 100 and it’s only the middle of the day.

I’m very surprised that almost all my referral for today is from Stumbleupon.

Today’s traffic is the highest ever!! And with no new content. It’s all purely from me “Stumbling Upon” my own website.
Suddenly, Stumble Upon has become another form of method to increase traffic for my new blogs. Of course having a useful free to give away also helps

I’ve been using Stumble Upon to promote my company website, as well as to my clients. A great SEO tool indeed.

Yes, SU can bring in tonnes of traffic but one tips for you.
You should try not to stumble on your own contents and start submitting great contents from other sites to build up your “power”.
The “power” can be build if those new submissions of yours receive great feedback. Also, stumbling good contents and giving reviews to those sites might get you fans and reviews on your profile which will in turn make your future stumbles more worth it.
A stumble by a new stumbler might equals to one visit but if you are a stumbler with reputation, you might be giving 10 visits to a page that you have stumbled.

I think I need to reedit my share it widget and let SU link shows up instead of ’share it’ link. Thanks.

I love StumbleUpon. I just wrote a story today describing how I used StumbleUpon to bring in over 190,000 page views to my blog.

I recently went through the whole first great post being stumbled all on its own. I went from 20 - 40 hits a day to over 4000 the next. This was over 2 weeks ago. Im still receiving about 50 a day from just stumbleupon.
