Survivors of the Google Holocaust
I visited several blogs at random searching for paid post keywords like “sponsored”, “PayPerPost”, “Smorty” and found out that there are a few blogs that still survived the Google Nuke. I won’t list them down here for obvious reasons. They are not that many. It seems roughly out of ever 10 blogs I found, 2 had survived. I wonder what made this blogs special to have escaped Google’s attention. I tried to find out if they had any special features but fail to find any. Some even had PayPerPost banners prominently displayed on their sidebars.
Lucky Survivors
I guess these blogs mostly with PR3 and PR4 are the lucky ones who can go around grabbing new posts when most of the bigger players with big PRs cannot compete with them to grab high paying post.
Hiding from Google’s Wrath
I also noticed that blogs that did not clearly disclose they are being paid for the posts were also ignored by Google. There were many Smorty only blogs that had PRs. Looks like Google’s action is now forcing blogs to go underground and avoid in-post disclosure.
Resurrection?
For the rest of the blogs that died in the latest PR 0 nuke, I think many are now considering “reconsideration” to resurrect their blogs from the PR0 grave. I for one am seriously thinking about it. What about you ?

I don’t like how Google is handling pagerank updates

Gee, comparing the systematic murder of 6 MILLION PEOPLE to the action of one company depriving some individuals of their hard earned page ranks and some income? That’s a HOLOCAUST?
Sure, what Google did distresses a lot of people. But people who have given their all to work are fired or laid off. It happens. But they don’t die.
Please don’t use a word that means mass murder for an economic downturn. There’s pros and cons to what Google did. I think most honest bloggers feel Google’s action was heavy-handed and in many cases, unwarranted.
But it pales in comparison TO GASSING PEOPLE IN SHOWERS or MASS SHOOTINGS or STARVING or FREEZING TO DEATH. Most of these murders occurred when Germany was starting to lose the war! Hitler and his henchmen hated the Jews so much they ramped up the efforts.
Cruel, barbaric and a lesson of mankind’s cruelty. Lessons repeated over and over again. Dafur ring a bell?
Now that’s a HOLOCAUST. Or maybe you think that’s a catchy title? You shouldn’t have to be Jewish to think twice about that word. Shame on you! Grow up! What Google did isn’t a tragedy, it’s not a holocaust, it’s called business, good or bad, that’s life. That’s NOT DEATH.

Sorry Jenny that you take offense to the title.
It’s just a follow up to my previous post on Google Nukes PPP. Figuratively speaking I was referring to a Nuclear Holocaust and not the Holocaust you are referring to.
It’s just a funny metaphor which I didn’t think anybody would be offended by. Looks like I was wrong about that. For that I apologise.
