Google Fourth Round of PR update

One of my PR4 has been demoted to PR2. Looks like Google is back to slapping PR demotions again.
My PR4 site was doing paid posts as well as Text Link Ads so that’s not surprising. I have been doing that for months. I fully accept and expected that. However what I did not expect was what Google did to other new bloggers.
Take the case of Xyiry blog which was just award PR3 in the last PR update.
Excited over the new PR update, Xyiry who was already a PaidPerPost (PPP) member began to grab the higher ranking posts which he could not touch the last time around. I even told him that he’d be safe until the next round of PR update. Just yesterday, Google demoted his blog’s PR 3
-> PR 1 !! Whoops, my bad. It’s surprising because all that was done in the space of 2 weeks. (New PR 3 blog -> violation detected -> demotion to PR 1)
The thing to learn from here is that Google PR updates are now not on a fixed schedule. It seems they are doing it as and when they please. So beware !! Posties who think they escaped the Google bitch slapping
update until next year, THINK AGAIN!!
I for one am thinking hard as to whether I want to do paid posts on my PR3 and PR4 blogs. I don’t want to incur the wrath of Google so most probably I won’t. I’ll have to look for some other ways of monetizing those blogs.
Suggestions anybody ?
PS: Xyiry’s blog only has PPP and Smorty sponsored posts. No TLA or LinkPost.

…which is totally illogical if you ask me.
JasonMumbles.com doesn’t even have a single ad except for Nuffnang.
Your traffic is pretty high judging from your Alexa ranking. What is Google thinking !!???

They don’t want companies like TLA, PPP to manipulate the indexing algorithm to push up their advertisers site. Trouble is, their algorithm always changing. Don’t really know what Google wants nowadays.
Just that they don’t like paid links and paid reviews.

For xyiry it was PPP and smorty.
For me it was PPP and TLA.
Don’t join us lah..afterwards your PR2 will make like superman and fly away leaving you with PR 0.

Don’t worry too much about PR. Worry about your traffic and being indexed and ranked in the search engines. Now, if Google totally de-indexes your site, then you’re in trouble.
