I finally cashed out my Adsense income for September using Western Union.

Google will not inform you of the payment made so you have to check yourself if payment is already made.

Go to My Account -> Payment History

Then look for the magic words “Payment Issued” :)

Click on details. You should see the following (assuming you have switched payment mode to Western Union).


Take note of two things:

  • The MTCN no
  • Google’s Address (Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA)
  • the USD amount you are supposed to get

I wrote this down on a piece of paper and took it with me.

From LiewCF’s post and comments, it seems many Malaysians opted to go to CIMB’s Western Union facilities, so I chose to go to the Post Office to give you guys a different perspective.


I went to the Pejabat Pos Besar KL. Another reason is because it’s nearby Petaling Street where I wanted to take a nice lunch after this.


Reached the Post Office and proceeded to look for the Western Union section.

I was disappointed as there were no signs indicating Western Union so I asked the information counter. The nice lady immediate asked me whether I was sending or receiving.

Lady : Hantar ke, terima ?
Me: Terima.
Lady: Guna IC atau ..
Me : Guna IC (before she could finish)
Lady : Ada bawa nombor untuk isi..
Me: Ada

Then she gave me the yellow form which I promptly filled up.

After that I was given a number to wait. Then I finally realised it was not a special counter but a normal counter at the Post Office. It wasn’t like CIMB where you had a special section for Western Union. Didn’t have to wait as right after I took the picture of the form, my number was next.

The lady at the counter took her time to go thru the application form, slowly typing and rechecking what she was typing. It seemed longer than it was but I got my Adsense income in cold hard cash and left the Post Office.

All that took less than 10 minutes !!

That’s it. My Adsense money for September. Nowhere near the amount made by big time bloggers like 5xmom and LiewCF but this pro-blogger wannabe is happy with the amount.

The exchange rate used was 3.314

There are no other transaction charges!

This method of cashing out your Adsense earning is FAST. My previous month earning via Google cheque has not even cleared yet :)
