I was initially happy with Advertlets CPM program because it was actually earning good money.

Last week however showed me that it was too good to last.

Good earnings in the middle of October.

Poor earnings in the last week of October.

The number of impressions was about the same but the total income was in inverse proportion. It sank like the Titanic.

Josh Lim, the CEO of Advertlets told me in an email that basically “You get what you put in“.

Well I put in a lot to have over 1000 impressions. I went crazy and plastered Advertlets ads in almost all my blogs. Hmmm.. is this similiar to the Google ’smart pricing’ effect ? Perhaps less impressions will give me better performance then :)

I’m removing some Advertlet ads from some of my blogs including this one. I’m leaving just a few on my other blogs to see what is the effect of reducing the ads.

Of course I’m keeping a close watch on the earnings per impressions. It may just be a seasonal thing. So if there is even a hint of an increase in CPM, I’ll place the ads back.
