There are some food that are specific to only your hometown.
For me, Teluk Intan’s Chee Cheong Fun is that unique food.
I saw an ad advertising Teluk Intan’s Chee Cheong Fun in One Utama but could not find the place.
This is the original. I was in Teluk Intan a few weeks and got the chance to try a ‘competitor’ business who came very close to emulating the original Teluk Intan Chee Cheong Fun.
Tastes almost like the original except perhaps a little too salty.
Still, that didn’t stop me from whacking 3 packets of the Chee Cheong Fun

Hey, tell la where is the best place to eat chee cheong fun? I went to Teluk Intan and ate near the temple there.

Near the temple? I am not sure I know that place. The “original” chee cheong fun can be found near “glutton square” at a corner house.
The one above was bought for me by one of my Teluk Intan aunts. I’ll be sure to find out and blog about where to find the best Teluk Intan Chee Cheong Fun when I go back hometown next..

I’m Perakian-Teluk Intan.In fact there’s 3 places you can get the chee cheong fun.
And i’m in KL here for work liao…
1st place-Shop call “Liew Kei”!Location is in between Jalan Pasar and Jalan Pasir Bedamar.You can buy it from night time untill midnight.Cost is RM2.50 per pack.
2nd place:Shop call “Sam Xiao Ye”!Location is in the hawker center-Just opposite to Happy Angle Bread Shop and also opposite the Indian Temple.night time to 10pm++
3rd place:A branch of “Sam Xiao Ye”.Location is same row with Seafood restaurant.Ooppss….Name road forgot liao…..Until 10pm -12pm++

Hi Guys,
Come to Ipoh OLD TOWN at this Nan Fung Kopitiam one of the CHEE CHEONG FUNG stall try the plain soy sauce and oil or with Curry sauce.They are the best and cheap in town.
p/s Theirs White Kopi the Best in Ipoh
