Response from Dr Andrew Ooi
This is A/Professor Andrew Ooi from the University of Melbourne. I am very concerned that you feel a need to knock me off the Google No. 1 spot I rightly dominate. If you wish to discuss face-to-face (so to speak) please call me on +61 3 XXXX XXXX
(I edited out the phone no. for privacy)
What peeves me off is his statement about “..Google No. 1 spot I rightly dominate”. I didn’t know that anyone can “rightly dominate” any spot on Google search results. Just because he has his resume page on a university website his rating carries more weightage to Google (for the moment anyway). Anyway, I have to thank him as that just adds more steam to my efforts to knock him off the no. 1 spot :)Some interesting facts I found out about Professor Andrew Ooi. We have 75% of the same name:-
- Andrew Ooi Seng Hock vs Andrew Ooi Boon Seng (me)
- He is a lecturer and I used to be one too.
- we both have taught over a thousand students in our teaching career
- We are about the same age.
As far as I know we are not related. Still it’ll be good feeling to reclaim the number one spot which I “dominated” from year 2000-2005. So here’s my response to Professor Andrew Ooi :-
“You have only taken the number one spot for a year and a half. Be glad for that. I will work very hard to win back the Google No. 1 spot for Andrew Ooi. That’s a promise.“

HaHA! Dr Andrew showed us your blog during lecture last week. That must be the maximum number of simultaneous reads you’ve ever had (over 100 people). He’s an awesome bugger. Keep blogging.

He showed my blog? That explains the Australian IPs in my log.
